Volunteers set up tables, cook or serve meals, clean up, or distribute clothing to those in need.

Drop off locations for gloves, mittens & hats wherever there is a Salvation Army Red Kettle in the Canton area.

While most of our food and items are donated, there are some hard costs. Your donations, large and small, are welcome.

Volunteers Helping Canton’s Homeless on Christmas Eve!

Register here to become a volunteer to work in the Kitchen with food preparation, serving food, and bell-ringing during our 2020 event.  Registration will begin Oct. 1, 2020.

FOOD SERVER
You are on the front line!  Serving the food to each person who comes through the line!

KITCHEN HELP
This is a busy place!  Re-heating the food, slicing the turkeys & ham, washing dishes, etc.

DONATE FOOD
We always need folks to  donate a cooked ham or donate drinks, side dishes and desserts.

BELL-RINGING

This year, and every year, the need is especially great for families to ring the bells at one of the Salvation Army kettle locations.   It’s a great way for parents and their children to have a wonderful time together—- and make a difference in the lives of those who are struggling and in need this holiday season!

We are still counting the numbers, but this was a biggest year ever– Thanks to all of our volunteer organizations and individuals who helped to get the word out to the area homeless!

Here‘s What’s Happening at A Family Christmas Eve

Location:  The Canton Salvation Army –  420 Market Avenue South   Canton, Ohio 44702
Date & Time:  December 24th,  2019 – 12:00pm to 3:00pm

  • A Special Christmas Eve Dinner for the Homeless and near-homeless of Stark County
  • Distribution of Hats gloves & mittens
  • Hair stylists, nail technicians, makeup, massage therapists
  • Free Showers
  • Santa Claus (with gift bags for the children!)
  • Nurse station
